Surrounding the 5,726-acre, man-made Lake Murray, the park boasts a 1.9-mile hiking trail that takes visitors through scenic landscapes, past towering granite outcroppings, and along the shimmering lakefront. The park is a haven for water activities, with a swim beach, designated fishing areas stocked with largemouth bass, catfish, and crappie, and two boat ramps for motorized and non-motorized vessels. Hikers, bikers, and equestrian riders can embark on a journey through the park's extensive trail network, while wildlife enthusiasts can spot white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and a variety of bird species. Campers can immerse themselves in the serene wilderness at one of the park's 167 campsites, equipped with water, electricity, and fire rings, or opt for one of the primitive hike-in campsites.
